This is a broader scope of training that includes CPR, as well as other techniques like using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and managing airway obstructions. BLS is typically administered by first responders, healthcare professionals, and trained individuals in emergency situations.
We offer American heart association and American Red Cross classes both full and blended learning.
First aid, CPR, and AED refer to a set of emergency response skills. First aid encompasses a range of techniques for addressing injuries and illnesses. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is a life-saving technique used when someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a device that can analyze heart rhythm and deliver an electrical shock to restart the heart. These three components are often taught together in training courses to prepare individuals to respond to emergencies effectively.
A pediatric class focuses on the health and well-being of children, from infancy through adolescence. This class covers a range of topics, including growth and development, common illnesses and injuries, and preventative care. This will include practical skills training in pediatric first aid and CPR/AED.
CPR/AED class teaches individuals how to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies, including how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). These classes are American Red Cross and the American Heart Association and equip participants with the skills and knowledge to potentially save a life in a critical situation.
First Aid Only class focuses on providing initial care for injuries and illnesses before professional medical help arrives. This class teaches essential skills like controlling bleeding, treating burns, and recognizing and responding to various medical emergencies such as choking, asthma attacks, and allergic reactions. This class is designed for individuals with little to no prior medical training, and may be required for certain jobs or for personal preparedness.
The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor course, trains individuals to become certified instructors who can teach CPR and other lifesaving skills to others. This course will cover the organization's specific guidelines, teaching methodologies, and how to properly conduct skills evaluations and manage courses. The training prepares individuals to teach both basic-level courses like Heartsaver and more advanced courses like BLS for healthcare providers.
